This is because it takes over justified claims for damage from the injured third party. The sum insured should be high and continuously adapted to the level of case law.

We therefore offer a flat-rate coverage of 10 million euros for personal injury, property damage and co-insured financial losses. This is maximised three times (i.e., three times a year). This is far more than the legislator requires for practices or medical service centres. As double insurance is not possible with professional liability insurance, the existing (older) professional liability insurance contract must (!) first be cancelled in compliance with the notice period. The protection exists for both parties involved in the claim.
